♪♫♪♫♪ Tis the Season to be Jolly Trala la la la, la la la laaaaa ♪♫♪♫
I am extremely jolly and what more does one want adding to the festive season with this absolute gorgeous Merry Berry Collection from Essence? This collection screams Golds, Berries and Warm opulent tones making it perfect for the Christmas season, better yet? These shades will also compliment the Autumn season, so it is definitely worth the little investment as the price range is fantastic making it suitable to buy the collection for yourself and as a present.
Tip: These items would also make great stocking fillers.
The I Love my Golden Pumps highlighter has to be one of my favourite items in the collection. I am such a sucker for powder products with beautiful, striking prints and this one is almost so gorgeous that it literally pained me to use it. It retails for R63.50 and find this to be such a great buy. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen the captivating glow this highlighter gives.
The Masked Ball mono eyeshadow retails for R38.95 and yet again is also imprinted…#Sucker. At first it gives off a grey shade but as you start to blend it out it gives the most beautiful smoked-purple shade. It has a really creamy consistency and blends out beautifully. The pigmentation is also really great. I applied this shade to my crease and to add to that festive feel I applied a gold shade all over my lid. I did not get “The Perfect Dress” mono eyeshadow collection but if I had it this is what I would have applied on my lid, so if you do decide on getting the eyeshadows I would strongly suggest buying both as they would really compliment each other.
The Merry Berry collection also has five enchanting nail polishes each retailing for R38.95. The two shades I have are
- The Masked Ball
- Pink and Perfect
I have only swatched them and the laquers are very vivid and vibrant. The packaging of the nail polishes is very ravishing with a golden cap, d these I find to be great stocking fillers. I will surely look into getting the other shades as Essence Nail Polishes in general are really good quality.
I also have two out of the three lipsticks from the collection and you can get them at R44.50 a pop. The lipsticks do not have any names so lets just refer to the as the purple one and as the pinky-red one. The Purple one is on the right hand side off the pic above and it has to be my favourite one. The pinky-red one is logically on the left and I also find it to be a very sensual shad. Both these lipsticks are really great in pigmentation and really lush but I would strongly recommend not to kiss any body as they transfer like crazy, which is definitely a good thing as you can avoid kissing those aunts who you haven’t seen in years at your Christmas dinner.
Here I have done a very simple makeup look with the products and as you can see both lipsticks are astounding. I really loved playing around with the collection and I am sure it speaks for itself and that we all can agree that the Highlighter is the star item here.
The collection will start popping up in all Clicks and Dischem stores from this week forth, so hurry up Ladies and Gents because I have a feeling that it is not going to last very long.
