Duromine and the Lazy Girls Guide to Weightloss

duromine

I hate exercise – however as I am writing this I know I will very soon try a little active workout and somehow incorporate it into my daily life, but until then and that post I am going to tell you how I lost 4 KG’s in a month without any exercise and a little bit of assistance.

Ok, so what is Duromine?

Duromine is an appetite suppressant that (if you live in RSA) you can only get on prescription. It is a tablet which you take orally that simply put, curbs your inner pregnant woman and all things she craves. Please Note: Your medical aid does not pay for this, so I usually get mine from Clicks (they are the cheapest) and I pay around R351.00 for a month of supply.

For me this tablet did wonders but please note what works for me may not work for you. It has hectic POSSIBLE side effects but I have yet to encounter one. Also this tablet is very potent in the sense that some days you might need to force feed yourself.

So what else besides Duromine?

Well Duromine is not a fat burner and it is merely there to assist you and your body in achieving a state of Ketosis. WTF is Ketosis? Ketosis is when your body uses fat instead of carbs or other calories to burn energy. The quickest way to find out if you have reached Ketosis is usually your BREATH. So you don’t want to use a drug? You like things naturally? Lets get to a few simple points that will assist in weightloss with minimal effort.

WRITE it down!

It is very easy to munch the day away – but as soon as you start documenting how much you actually eat and how much of it is shit that you put into your body it will horrify you and therefore it will act as a motivation to chill the eff out.

Count those Calories

An easy add on to your food diary. AND it is REALLY not that difficult. Whenever you eat something and jot it down then just write the total amount of calories it is. There are a lot of websites that assist with getting calories such as Calorie King which indicates to me that a medium size orange is 62 Calories and a smaller size orange is 45 Calories. I mean how easy is that.

Labelled Foods

I know things get busy and these are generally the easiest snacks to get a hold off – but try to limit it. So when you do eat something labbled write it down plus the calories. BUT Liza, how do I determine the calories on the serving? That’s easy. You take the amount of Kilojoules and DEVIDE it by 4. So if something indicates that it is 812 kilojoules it will equal to 203 calories.

Don’t drink your Calories – Rather EAT them

Now I am not going to tell you to cut out your fizzy drinks and that you should only drink water and green tea and all that bullocks. YES water is important so when the craving eats for a sweet drink to quench your thirst drink TAB. TAB will become your new best friend as it contains NO sugar – NO Calories. At first it is a little difficult to get use to the taste but after a day or two you learn to love it. If you simply can’t just try Coke Light or Sprite Zero both these contain only 1 Calories per 500ml.

Through out your larger clothes

If it’s to big let it go…Don’t set yourself up for failure thinking “if I gain weight I will need these pants” The mind is very powerful and by thinking such thoughts you will manifest it to a reality – which brings me to my next point –

You are the creator of your own reality

and I firmly believe in this. It all narrows down to your thoughts – what you put out in the universe and manifestation. The last month I didn’t touch Duromine or stuck to my tips as mentioned above. What is crazy? I was still in the state of mind and I still got smaller without doing anything. It’s strange but it works. The moment I stopped slamming myself the weight gain stopped.

Brush your teeth

Yes when you feel the need to binge – brush your teeth. the minty-ness of the toothpaste will curb the desire to indulge plus you will have whiter teeth. Chewing on a minty piece of gum will also work.

Before Noon

Try to eat most of your Calories before 12pm and stop eating at about 5pm. I limit myself to 3pm. So just see what works for you.

Do you have any tips and tricks that works for you? Please do share them as I love experimenting.

By no means am I an expert dietician and I am simply stating what worked for me and what assisted me.

Very nice post, esp being honest about taking Duromine as people are sometimes embarrassed about taking diet tablets. A friend of mine started using it recently and she really had no desire to eat so I would suggest taking it every other day rather than everyday and also not for too long as you cant sleep either…

Yes – that is why it is crucial to take it early. I also sometimes interchange and take it every second day.

You would need to ask your house doc for a prescription.
