Spring Fashion Trends – Shopping Guide for the Minimalist

spring fashion trends

With so many spring fashion trends going around, I took it upon myself to browse a little online just to see what the shops have to offer us this season.

This season brace yourselves for bold printed, loos fitted jumpsuits and dresses, Croachet pieces, crop tops, lacey skirts, and did I mention A LOT of bold pattern colorful dresses and jumpsuits.

Leaning towards a more minimal, not so “in your face” style, it can be hard to fit in or look trendy with all the colours and patterns. However the following pieces really appealed to me. Not only do they portray my simplicity but they are also stylish, pushing me just a little bit out of my comfort zone and they are on point with the current Spring Fashion Trends

White A-Line Aztech print Dress – Legit R269.99

This dress screams spring with it’s the crisp white, light weight material. The Aztech print is very subtle however still on trend without being overly empowering. The finely detailed neckline is low, but the two added buttons make it less provoking adding more style. I would see myself wearing this with some nude wedges and a messy bun. However it is very versatile so you can wear it more beachy with some sandals and braids.

Burgandy Knitted Halter Crop Top – The Fix R170.00

I have been wanting a burgandy crop top for ages to satisfy my boho side, and now a knitted one as well. Score. I imagine myself pairing this with a high waisted black maxi skirt and some gold accesories to get that true boheimian vibe.

Printed Crop Top – Mr. Price R49.99

I have been loving Crop Tops, they seem to be all I buy. Mainly because they are everywhere and i find them super easy to pair with most items in my wardrobe like shorts, skirts and jeans. They instantly make my essential pieces more stylish in compared to what a normal Tee would. Still adding patterns without being overly bold – i fell inlove with this blue sort-off marble print.

Black Crochet Bikini from SALT – Zando R699.99

Crochet Bikini’s are all over the place. This one however stood out. Need i say more? The sexy bottoms had me sold, with the unusual transparent waistleine. The black still more reserved and my free-spirited needs satisfied.

Nude Gladiator Sandals – RAGE R199.99

Ever since I the Gladiator trend flooded the world back in the day when I was like 14 year old, I was obsessed. I mean they look amazing with EVERYTHING and not only are these Nude’s from Rage super stylish, but they are also super affordable.

Denim Cut-Out Playsuit – Legit R299

I have lately been loving playsuits and dresses as they are complete. No hours of staring at a closet trying to figure out what shirt to wear with the skirt or what jeans will match the blouse. I have also lately been loving to add a teen/Instagram style effect to my wardrobe for instance bodycon High-Waisted skirt with crop tops, Levi’s and Dutch-braids.  This jumpsuit from Legit just fits that category perfectly.

Snake Skin Wedge’s – Mr Price R159.99

Wedges are by far my favourite style of shoes. Not only offering you the height, posture, ass and sexiness of a heel they are also super comfortable. I love faux snake skin souls paired with nude bodies. These will add that “It Factor” to a simple black dress or Jeans and a white blouse.

Cheeky White Lace Shorts – The Fix R169.99

The Fix has some really cute and affordable items and girl you can bet on it that I will be getting my ass over there very soon. These shorts make such a great staple and can be dressed up or dressed down.

R1314.99 for 7 items, Paired Making 8 Outfits

Jip, These 7 items paired with each other can make 8 different outfits. Add a pair of your already owned shorts and 3 shirts and you can create so much more. It’s all about minimalism and adding key pieces that integrated with other items will serve so much more purpose.

Would you describe yourself as a minimalist fashionista? or are you a tad more?
