Coco Chanel Mademoiselle

As seasons change so do perfumes, and since we hit the more colder months over here in South Africa I was on the hunt for a more Wintery scent. After trying out countless perfumes from scents that smelled to old or to cheap it took me about a month before I was completely satisfied.

I was roaming around in Foschini’s and I happened to ask the lady in the perfume section if she might suggest something, at first she sprayed some Ellie Saab on me…it smelled old again but when she spritz some Mademoiselle on me I died, went to heaven and came back. This was perfect for Winter. It smelled sophisticated but not old, sweet but not cheap, this was a absolute winner.

It is a Romantic aroma with citrus and hints of vanilla, jasmine and musk. What is not to love about the oh so elegant Chanel, anything Chanel is just absolutely exclusive and gorgeous. My only downfall on this perfume would need to be the bottle. I just wish it was more feminine and pretty, instead it is square and chunky with a big white top, but just like beauty it is the inside that counts.

Overall I would give this perfume a 5 out of 5 for Sophistication, Romance, Endurance, Fierceness and Exclusivity. I think I paid around R1200 for the 50ml which is so worth it if you look at other perfumes that cost about R800 – R1000. I mean its Chanel, a total classic.
