January Favourites

cover 2

Drum Roll please….Hello and Welcome to the first monthly favourite’s post on Barbie Beauty SA. Yes, you heard me right, I’m starting a monthly series as you know by now (if you read a lot of beauty blogs) will feature my most used-loved products.

Now let me start of by emphasizing that January was most definitely, on it’s own not a favourite of mine, but thank goodness it’s history and we can blissfully enter the month of February. So although this was not a so great month there was undoubtedly a few products that I cherished…so let’s get into it now shall we.

Benefit

So first up is the Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion. Now let me start off by saying that this was perfect for Summer especially in the drought. This really hydrated my skin and sinked in flawlessly. It also contains an SPF 15 which is great for protecting my skin and preventing pre mature aging. Lightweight and Oil free this is a must have.

Next up we have the Catrice Absolute Matte Palette and with all the wetness and makeup melting paired with this scorching heat this palette was ideal on my slap on some no makeup, makeup look. It has two matte highlight shades and four very natural brown toned shades which makes it very versatile. At only about R89.00 this palette is really handy for a everyday go-to.

Yes, another Benefit product as sneaked it’s way into my January Favourite’s and that it the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. Now if you want really long, separated lashes with one coat then this is the Mascara you need. The fallout is minimal and it removes easy. It is also very lightweight so your lashes don’t feel heavy and clumpy.

Jan4

The Catrice Illuminating Highlight Pen as been a long time favourite and if I must say so myself a perfect dupe for Benefit High Beam. It blends very easily into the skin giving a sparkly shine when the sun hits it. I will definitely repurchase this product over and over again as it doesn’t break the bank either.

Jan 5

In the month of January I opted to try more bright colours and the Essence Lipliner in No15 Honey Berry was the most adored lip shade. It is a deep berry toned shade with amazing pigmentation and staying power. It did not dry out my lips at all. I really love Essence Liners and if you want to know more about these you can read my post Here.

January has been a long month, and I am more then delighted that it is over and done with. At least I had some pretty great products to carry me through this month.
